SUMMARY:Why You Need To Niche (and why you don’t believe me!)
DESCRIPTION:Did you miss the first session?  No worries!! You can still benefit from this wisdom of this fascinating discussion.\n\nOur 2nd session will be focused on Feedback and Workshopping the your niche.\n\nWhen: Wednesday August 13th\, 2025 at 10:00 am – 11:30 am PST.\n\nWhen you sign up for the 2nd session\, you will receive:\n– A recording of the first session.\n– A .pdf of Sarah’s book and a worksheet to workshop your niche.\n\nThese two sessions are designed for qualified coaches who are still struggling to secure paying clients at a professional rate. Some of you may be new\, while others may have been around for a while and are perhaps associates who rely on referrals for their private clients.\n\n\n1st Session= The WHY:  Wednesday July 31\, 2025 at 10:00 – 11:30 am PST\n2nd Session= Feedback and Workshopping: Wednesday August 13th\, 2025 at 10:00 am – 11:30 am PST\n\n\nThe problem with referrals is that they are unpredictable and challenging to scale and you cannot build a viable business on hope.\n\n\n\nThis talk unpacks the real reason you are not getting inbound enquiries. It is not about your coaching ability\, it is not about your qualifications and it’s not about the market being too crowded. It’s because you’re trying to speak to everyone.\n\n\n\nWe start by naming the myths that hold coaches back from choosing a niche. You have probably heard them and you may believe them. “Niching is restrictive.” “There are no good niches left.” “It will make me sound like every other coach.” These beliefs feel rational\, but they are precisely what keep you invisible. We will break down where they come from\, why they persist\, and why they are wrong.\n\n\n\nNext\, we reframe what a niche is.\n\n\n\nA niche is not a box you squeeze yourself into\, it’s a signal that cuts through the noise. I’ll show how niche clarity makes it easier to find your audience\, understand their problems\, and write in a way that makes them think\, “that’s me!”\n\n\n\nThroughout the session\, you will hear real stories about coaches who resisted choosing a niche\, and when they realized the difference it makes\, they saw their businesses transform. These are not overnight success stories or slick marketing case studies. These are examples from coaches who were exactly where you are now\, who made the leap and started generating consistent\, professional-fee clients.\n\n\n\nWe then move into practical steps.\n\n\nYou will learn how to approach niche selection in a strategic\, rather than emotional\, manner. We look at how your background\, knowledge\, and understanding of specific sectors can give you insight into the language\, needs\, and problems of a target audience. That insight is your marketing superpower.\n\n\n\nFinally\, we look at what happens next. Once you define a niche\, your visibility improves. Your marketing starts to resonate. You are no longer pushing coaching on people who do not understand it. You are showing up in the right places\, with the right message\, for people who are already looking for help.\n\n\n\nAt the end of Session One\, I’ll give you some homework to apply what you’ve learned.\n\n\n\nIn Session Two\, we’ll look at the niches and ‘ideal clients’ you have chosen\, and I’ll give feedback to help you gain clarity and insight into the skill of professional client acquisition.\n\n\n\nThese sessions are not lightweight conversations because this is a business-critical topic. If you want clients to come to you\, you need a clear message. To get a clear message\, you need to know who you are speaking to. You will leave this session with clarity\, direction\, and a much stronger sense of what it takes to become a coach who is visible\, relevant\, and in demand.\n\n\n\n\nCCE Units: Not available if only attending the second session.\n\n\n\nSpeaker Bio:\n Sarah Short started The Coaching Revolution in 2017. She is passionate about the transformational power of coaching and was aware of the high rates of failure in coaching businesses\, which led her to want to take action. Sarah and her team of mentors teach qualified (credentialed) coaches comfortable\, effective and ethical client acquisition skills so that they can earn their living from coaching. All the programmes are ICF-accredited. Sarah is the author of 3 best-selling books\, and her book A Coaching Business In A Book has been shortlisted for the British Business Book Awards 2025.

SUMMARY:From 'Me' to 'We': Boldly Building Groups and Teams - Webinar
DESCRIPTION:This experiential workshop offers 4 innovative tools for leading group and team work. Growing our capacity as coaches to foster connection\, community and belonging fuels the transformative power of group work for all participants. Get ready to bounce out of your comfort zone! \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nHow to coach to the team/group as a single entity rather than a collection of individuals\nHow to coach participants to view themselves as group/team builders\nHow to build and create with differences in the group\nHow practicing relationality turbocharges client’s capacity to give their embodied experience–in the moment–and transform what’s possible in team/group work\nHow Life Development Groups are becoming the new niche of coaching\n\nIn a culture completely overdetermined by individualism\, how can we as coaches see and lead groups? Everyone from organizational psychologist Adam Grant to Weave founder David Brooks to neuroscientist John Cacioppo has embraced the fundamentality of human sociality. Growing our capacity to connect and create with others fuels the transformative power of group work. \nThe question everyone is grappling with is\, “What new tools must we tap into to avoid taking individual-based practice models with us into group work?” This session offers well-established\, innovative\, methodological\nanswers that you can put to immediate use in your work. \nTogether we will explore the practical applications of social therapeutic coaching. Whether you are an executive or life coach\, currently practicing or wishing to expand into group/team work\, you will leave the workshop impacted by this bold approach to transformation. \nLearning Objectives: \n\nRelationality. The ability for the coach to actively invite the group to consider how are we speaking and listening with one another? This can include inquiring of others how they are experiencing the group in the moment\, or inviting someone to share the impact of others on them. This activity grounds participants’ focus in the room on what/how the group is doing. That is the material to build with when it comes to cultivating trust and the sense of belonging that drives the most successful and innovative teams. It creates the space for honest presence\, emotional risk taking and therefore\, emotional growth and group transformation.\nThe metaphor of performance: Performing ahead of oneself. We will introduce participants to key concepts in social therapeutics that fuse discoveries in human development and improv/the tools of theater. The concepts shift us into “seeing groups” rather than a collection of individuals who happen to be in the same room together.\nBuilding and creating with differences. Drawing on already introduced relationally and performing ahead of oneself\, we will illustrate how coaches can partner with clients to practice radical acceptance during a group session\, to learn to hear offers in what someone else is saying\, even if they don’t like what is being said. This is where language play comes in\, assumptions get examined and new meanings get co-created by the group.\nIntroduction to Life Development Groups. Finally\, we will make the case for why Life Development Groups are the antidote to the epidemic of loneliness in America\, and becoming a niche coaching practice which also offers financial sustainability. Life Development Groups break with the traditional model of assembling like-minded individuals with similar goals and shift into bringing together diverse people with diverse issues that they want to work on and grow around. The results are turbo-charged growth\, offering an immediate sense of community and belonging. Participants quickly move out of being stuck and come to appreciate making space for a weekly emotional workout with others.\n\nCOST: $10 members\, $25 non-member \nCCEUs: 1.0 Core Competencies | 0.5  Resource Development \n\n\n\n\n\n\nPresenter’s Bio\nCarrie Sackett is the founder of ZPD Coaching\, a virtual and international practice specializing in Life Development Groups\, couples and family work. Carrie has been practicing social therapeutics for 25 years-in the coach’s chair and outside the coach’s office as a Fortune 500 global change leader\, an award-winning employee engagement professional and an international nonprofit executive of innovative\, privately-funded youth development programs. \nCarrie authored Social Therapeutic Coaching: A Practical Guide to Group and Couples Work (Routledge\, 2024). She formed The Center for Group and Couples Coaching to train coaches and helping professionals in the social therapeutic method. \nCarrie graduated from Duke University and received her Master’s in Strategic Communications from Columbia University. In addition to training with social therapeutics’ founders at the East Side Institute in Manhattan\, she is a PCC certified coach and trained with The Somatic School in London. \nWebsite: www.zpdcoaching.com\nhttps://groupandcouplescoaching.com/ \nEmail: carrie@zpdcoaching.com
