SUMMARY:CC2: Reviewing Core Competencies: Embodies a Coaching Mindset
DESCRIPTION:Facilitated by Wendy Preyssler\, MCC\, Dr. Kathy Norwood\, MCC\, Rita Curtis\, PCC \nIn each of these sessions\, we will review the ICF Core Competencies model\, exploring how integrity\, confidentiality\, and respect shape coaching excellence. Join us for our second monthly session\, focused on the ICF Core Competency\, Embodies a Coaching Mindset. \nGreat coaching begins with the mindset we bring to every conversation. In this session\, we’ll explore what it truly means to embody a coaching mindset\, maintaining curiosity\, presence\, and self-awareness while supporting clients’ growth. Through reflection\, discussion\, and practical examples\, participants will strengthen habits that foster openness\, resilience\, and ethical self-management\, enhancing the impact of every coaching relationship. \n1.0 Resource Development CCE \nYou’ll see at least two of these facilitators at every session\, rotating throughout the program so you benefit from a mix of strengths\, styles\, and insights. \nWendy Preyssler\, MCC\nWith a passion for unlocking leadership potential and empowering coaches\, Wendy has decades of proven coaching success.  Wendy’s clients include Fortune 500 Executives\, Non-Profit Executives\, Business Owners\, Foreign Government Leaders\, Entrepreneurs and Coaches.\nIn her ICF Chapter Board roles\, currently President\, as well as her roles as an Advisory Board Member and Leader Team Member at Accomplishment Coaching\, she actively champions the importance of credentialing. \nDr. Kathy Norwood\, MCC\nKathy is a master educator\, transformational coach\, author\, and national consultant with more than 40 years of experience helping individuals and systems rise into their purpose. She is known for igniting passion\, awakening the positive core in others\, and cultivating coherence\, clarity\, and courageous action.\nAs co-owner of Coaches Evolve and director and creator of the International Academy of Professional Coaching\, an ICF Accreditation-Level 2 program\, she has made significant contributions to the professional development of coaches worldwide.  She is currently the President-Elect. \nRita Curtis\, PCC\nRita is an executive and leadership coach with over 15 years of corporate leadership experience spanning operations\, systems thinking\, and team development. As Co-Founder and Director of Education at Above the Line Academy\, she leads an ICF-aligned coach training program grounded in presence\, alignment\, and ethical coaching practice. Rita specializes in helping leaders cultivate clarity\, emotional intelligence\, and authentic influence across complex personal and professional landscapes.  She is currently the Chapter’s Growth and Development Director.
